AP Cabinet for fast-track clearance to MoUs inked at CII Partnership Summit

Andhra Pradesh Cabinet on Friday decided to accord clearances on a fast-track mode to MoUs worth Rs.13.25 lakh crore signed at the recently held CII Partnership Summit and take steps to ensure their early grounding with continuous monitoring.
At the meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Cabinet expressed its complete satisfaction over the response from the investors to the summit held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15.
Allotment of land to the project proponents and acquisition of additional land of 16,664 acres from seven villages adjoining the capital city area came up for discussion. This assumes importance as the issue was discussed a day after the Chief Minister met farmers from 29 villages who gave lands under Land Pooling Scheme and clarified their apprehensions.
According to sources, about 25 issues were taken up for discussion including standing counter-guarantee for Rs.5,000 crore loan for MARKFED to meet kharif requirements and a fresh loan from NABARD for the energy sector.
The Cabinet approved the organization of districts and revenue divisions as per the recommendation of Group of Ministers comprising Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Revenue Minister Angani Satya Prasad and Home Minister V. Anitha. Accordingly, three more districts Polavaram, Markapuram and Madanapalli will be created along with five new revenue divisions for administrative convenience. Complaints/suggestions if any will be sought for 30 days after which a gazette notification will be issued.
